Welcome to 2009 where it's a new year for a new coach with the Denver Broncos! Don't let that baby face and young age fool you - he's ready to win, he's ready to lead and he's ready NOW! Let the games begin, I say.
I had the privilege to be at the press conference late this afternoon where owner Pat Bowlen introduced JOSH McDANIELS to the Denver media with all the fanfare of a Fourth of July blowout -- oh, maybe that was just the uber-flashes of thousands of cameras on site at the Dove Valley auditorium. It may have been below freezing outside but inside it was hotter than hot with media members peppering the 5th youngest coach in NFL history with questions on his toughness, his readiness and his yet-to-be selected coordinators and staff to hopefully put the "country" back in Bronco's Country. We'll see. We love him, we're excited...until he loses his first game. Could be a long 4 years, but then again it could be just what the Wild West needs. A good ol' boy from Providence Rhode Island, a fresh face for us locals and hope for a winning 2009 season!
Happy New Year to everyone -- here's to touchdowns, homeruns, goals, buckets and baskets for us all!
